Tasting note
The Syydebändel Pinot Noir Barrique impresses with its strong ruby red color. Aromas of fully ripe wild strawberries, black cherries, spices and light roasted notes flow into the nose. On the palate, it is rich, fruit-sweet with great depth and wonderful pinot noir finesse. Paired with velvety tannins, perfectly balanced acidity and noticeable minerality, it results in a fruity and long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef and veal, barbecues, roast pork, z'vieri platters, cheese.
Vinification
Syydebändel winemakers have set themselves strict guidelines for the production of healthy and ripe grapes, compliance with which is mutually monitored several times a year. The grapes for Syydebändel wines are harvested late and by hand to achieve the highest possible ripeness. After cold maceration, the wine is fermented in open stands and aged for approx. 14 months in French barriques (approx. 50% new wood content).
