Sunny and fertile landscapes in Lazio give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Famiglia Cotarella - Lazio conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the distinctive Merlot 2016 — Sodale Lazio IGP, you can offer your guests something very special. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Merlot is excellent to serve with duck or poultry.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, red fruits, sweet spices, plus some vanilla. Round on the palate, harmonious, with a pleasant tannin structure and good persistence on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Delicious with raviolo filled with ricotta and scaloppine al merlot.
Vinification
The Merlot grapes for “little Montiano” are harvested by hand and immediately brought to the cellar. The vinification is temperature-controlled in steel tanks. To refine, the young Merlot matures for nine months in oak barrels. (Never and Tronçais)
