About the wine

Vendrell Rived was founded in 2000 and is managed by Josep M. Vendrell. However, the vineyards themselves have been owned by the family for generations, planted with vinyes velles, i.e. old vines. In addition, only traditional varieties such as Garnacha and Carineña are grown on the estate. Vendrell Rived owns 3 vineyards: Les Pedrenyeres, 7 ha planted with Grenache, La Burguera, 1 ha with Grenache and El mas d'en Joan Gros, 2 ha planted with Carineña. The wine cellar is located outside Marça, around 40 km west of Tarragona and the Costa Daurada. 15,000 to 20,000 bottles are produced annually.
