Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this distinctive white wine 2019 — Sauvignon Blanc Fume Single Block ''Kaliva'' Protected Geographical Indication Florina! The wine-growing regions of the Greek winery Alpha Estate extend across the landscapes in Macedonia, where the experienced winemaker produces this white wine. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Sauvignon Blanc with fish or mussels.
Tasting note
Crystalline, bright medium yellow color, slightly greenish shimmering. Strong and opulent on the nose, typical of this grape. With aromas of citrus and passion fruit and a shade of sugar melon at the end, with a touch of wood in the background. In the mouth, it is particularly full, sweet, fat, with an exceptionally good balance, freshness and finesse. Lively and long-lasting aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended for white meat, mussels and fish. Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the white wine is slightly chilled 6°-8°C.
Vinification
Maceration before fermentation in a controlled environment, alcohol fermentation at low temperatures. Ageing in fine-pored French oak barrels (Vosges), slightly burnt out, 225 liters, with periodic stirring of the yeasts for 7 months.
