About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Salcheto absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. With this outstanding Prugnolo Gentile 2012 — Salco DOCG Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano Salcheto, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Prugnolo Gentile is very good to serve with pasta bolognese or porcini risotto.
Tasting note
Strong ruby red, ripe black and red fruits such as plums and cherries on the nose. On the palate, a soft, mild start, very elegant with well-integrated velvety tannins. A straight-lined wine with a high fun factor.

Goes well with lamb, game, beef, Mediterranean cuisine
Vinification
Classic fermentation. A total of 24 months, 30% oak barrels, 70% tonneaux aged. Then in the bottle for at least 48 months.
