About the wine
The Planeta and Oddo families founded the Serra Ferdinandea winery. Your quality standards are very high. The Serra Ferdinandea Rosso is one of the first three wines from this promising young winery.
Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red Precise aromas, ripe wild berries, fine spice and well-dosed wood notes. On the palate with a lot of presence, complex and elegant. The aftertaste is long-lasting and ends with fine minerals.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Rosso Sicilia DOC goes perfectly with roasted vegetables, game and barbecue.
Vinification
Handpicked, Syrah a few days before Nero d'Avola. Manual selection of grapes before gentle pressing. 50% of fermentation takes place in steel tanks and 50% in large oak barrels for four weeks. The wine is then aged in large barrels, barriques and tonneaux.
