About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this provocative Merlot 2018 — Rosso Di Montefalco DOC. Graceful and fertile landscapes in Umbria give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Caprai Arnaldo conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or poultry.
Tasting note
Kräftiger Körper und markante Säure ergeben den fruchtigen Rotwein, welcher ausgewogen mit feinen Tanninen im Mund sehr viel Charakter und Klasse zeigt. Dieser Top-Wein bekam die Auszeichnung: James Suckling: 91/100.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roasted sea fish, white and red meat, cheese platter.
Vinification
Die Vinifikation fand wie folgt statt: 12 Monate Lagerung in Holzfässern und Barriques. Anschliessend 4 Monate Ausbau in der Flasche.
