About the wine
With the outstanding Sangiovese 2014 — Rosso di Montalcino DOC, nuances and accents are redefined. Fertile and blooming landscapes of Tuscany give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Cordella conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this sangiovese with beef or lamb.
Tasting note
A magnificent Sangiovese nose reminiscent of plums and well-ripened raspberries, complemented by some cinnamon star and a hint of basil. On the palate full of warmth and expressiveness, the red-fruity aromas are confirmed; velvety tannins and an elegant structure; charming, aromatically persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with coniglio in porchetta (rabbit in fennel), arista alla fiorentina (roast pork with herbs), lepre alla cacciatora (rabbit pepper), quaglie al risotto (quail with risotto), fagiano arrosto (pheasant with sage) and so on...
