The nose is complex and fresh. The fruit profile is characterized by wild fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, plus notes of tobacco, cloves and cedarwood. In the background, the wine shows the graphite notes typical of slate soils, as well as a hint of mint, which refreshes the aroma profile once again. The palate has a powerful start and the wine is firm and elegant despite the enormous fruit intensity. The excellent quality of Robustus 2017 is also attested by renowned wine critic James Suckling, who named it the top wine from Portugal in 2023 and awarded it 98 points.
