About the wine
Solar Viejo, a top company of the Freixenet Group, carefully controls the growth and care of the vines and grapes from start to harvest. Winemakers have been supplying the bodega with their grapes for generations; Solar Viejo monitors around 400 hectares of vineyards.
Tasting note
Dark cherry red, merging into brick red at the edges. Elegant and ripe, fruity aromas, full on the palate, with great complexity and a light note of coffee, caramel and vanilla. A long and well-balanced finish makes this blend of Tempranillo and Graciano simply unforgettable.
Culinary recommendation
Roast wild boar, ostrich steaks or rump steak with rosemary potatoes and carrot vegetables.
Vinification
It was aged for 24 months in French and American oak.
