About the wine
Enchanting and picturesque landscapes of the Upper Ebro give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Del Medievo conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the present Tempranillo 2012 — Rioja reserva Medievo DOCa, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This tempranillo is very good to serve with polenta or barbecue.

Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red, smells of ripe fruit, especially plums, accompanied by mineral notes, leather and vanilla. On the palate, it is complex, fruity and soft.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with various everyday dishes, both dark and white meats, vegetable dishes and pasta.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a maximum of 30° C for 20 days, aging for 24 months at 80% in French oak barriques and 20% in American oak barriques. A further 12 months of bottle storage.
