About the wine
Bodegas Proelio is a very young winery that launched its first vintage in 2012. The name Proelio comes from Latin and means “fight.” In a figurative sense, this word stands for the daily commitment of employees and the striving for the best quality. In doing so, Bodegas Proelio focuses on maximum precision and a mix of cutting-edge cellar technology and tried and tested, decades-old knowledge.

Tasting note
The grapes come from 40-year-old vines. Dried plums and cinnamon cherries in the complex nose, including grapes, red wine pears and fine tobacco seasoning behind them, radiating a lot of Rioja class in the nose. Dense palate flow with velvety texture and round tannins typical of Tempranillo, plum juice and wonderful Rioja warmth in the juicy, soft center, now also chocolate cherries and dried pears, seductive fullness down to the last sip.

Goes well with grilled specialties (e.g. lumberjack steaks, spare ribs, gypsy skewers), chicken, lamb, rice dishes, pizza
