With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the German winery Karthäuserhof masters this white wine in the fertile and picturesque landscape of the Moselle-Saar-Ruwer area. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this snappy white wine 2019 — Riesling Spätlese Karthäuserhofberg. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Riesling to duck or shrimp.
Tasting note
This Karthäuserhof berg Riesling Spätlese shows a terroir typical slate spicy aroma with ripe stone fruit and mango. The palate is characterized by juicy fruit and a beautifully integrated acidity, underlined by a fine mineral spiciness and covered by a melty texture. This Ruwer-Spätlese inspires with a pleasant, noticeable residual sweetness without appearing “sticky”. Has great maturation potential.
