About the wine
Bodegas Peñafiel, whose vineyards range from 750 to 900 meters, is located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. Every single bottle of the Bodegas contains a part of this region: The composition of the air, the intensity of the colors, the crackling dry heat of summer and the clammy scent of winter. The production of wines from low-yielding vines is limited in order to achieve a consistently high standard of quality from year to year. Peñafiel also owns vineyards in Rueda and Toro.
Tasting note
Cherry red color with violet reflections, elegant nose with mineral and balsamic notes, blackberries, raspberries and the spicy aromas of the wood ageing, lively in the mouth with a very nice structure, on the finish it shows a long, fleshy and elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Ribera del Duero DO Miros de Ribera Crianza goes perfectly with red meat, lasagna and pizza.
