About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Nabal masters this red wine in the picturesque and enchanting landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). With the present Tempranillo — Ribera del Duero DO Crianza, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This tempranillo is ideal to serve with a barbecue or polenta.
Tasting note
Powerful ruby red with purple reflections. The nose reveals opulent notes of black cherries, plums, pepper and leather. The elegant acid structure and powerful tannin round off this wonderfully typical Tempranillo.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, grill, hard cheese, lamb and mushrooms.
Vinification
The Tempranillo grapes were picked by hand in mid-October. Fermentation was spontaneous and temperature-controlled. A subsequent aging of 8-10 months took place mostly in new American oak barrels and some in used French oak barrels.
