About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Stefano Berti masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile landscape of Emilia-Romagna. With the outstanding Sangiovese 2015 — Ravaldo DOC, nuances and accents are redefined. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Sangiovese is ideal to serve with pizza or pasta.
Tasting note
The color is a dense cherry red. The rich bouquet shows aromas of dark fruits (cherries, plums), which are accompanied by spicy notes. Fruity on the palate, with good fullness, with appropriate tannin. A straightforward and distinctly varietal Sangiovese.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with pasta, pizza and beef.
Vinification
The mash fermentation takes place without the addition of pure yeast and takes about 14 days. The wine is then left to rest in steel tanks for around six months before it is bottled.
