About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Garcia Carrion grows this wine in the Meseta countryside. With the fresh Tempranillo 2005 — Pata Negra Gran Reserva Valdepenas DO, you can offer your guests something very special. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Tempranillo with polenta or barbecue.
Tasting note
Intense ruby red with copper accents. On the nose, a complex aroma with notes of mocha, cassis, plum and a delicate touch of cigars. On the palate, there are notes of black fruit and mocha, followed by a toasty aftertaste. Pleasantly round and balanced thanks to its good structure and velvety tannins. High aging potential in the bottle.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats and various types of cheese. Preferably decant or aerate before pouring.
Vinification
30 months in French and American oak barrels, then 6 months in bottle.
