About the wine
The winemaker from the Portuguese winery Fita Preta is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the sunny and picturesque Alentejo countryside. Treat yourself to the senses with the first-class Palpite Tinto Reserva from 2015!
Tasting note
Dark purple color with concentrated aroma of red fruits. Subtle notes of ripe fruit and round tannins. The aftertaste is intense and persistent.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with surf and turf, suckling pig or chicken, grilled tuna, grilled vegetables and stew.
Vinification
At the peak of ripening, the grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes, which allows direct quality control of the grapes in the vine around in the cellar. After picking, the grapes are transported in small vats and fermented on yeast at 27°C. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for another 18 months.
