About the wine
We have a special, fresh Tempranillo from 2014 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Carmelo Rodero has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and magnificent landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Tempranillo with lasagna or barbecue.
Tasting note
Tempranillo from a privileged location. The grapes of the Tinta del País grape variety (Tempranillo) come from the single vineyard “Valtarrena”, the vines are 45 to 55 years old. In the glass a dense, viscous wine red with purple reflections, the nose reveals the aromas of blackberries, black cherries, cassis, blueberries, licorice, bread crust, the palate is full-bodied, with beautifully integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, stews, spicy cheeses, fine cuts of meat.
Vinification
The ageing takes place in French barriques for 24 months.
