About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it is this strong white wine 2017 — Old Road Wine Anemos Chenin Blanc. The winemaker from the South African winery Old Road Wine Company greets us with this wine, which he grows in the countryside. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this chenin blanc with puff pastry or meatballs with tomato sauce.
Tasting note
This delicate partial wood aging results in a Chenin Blanc of great character and style - a wine that is complex yet fresh, crisp and very stylish. Upon entry, it exudes dried apricots and peaches with tropical notes, which remain on the palate together with ripe white fleshy pears. A perfect balance between juicy fruit and good acidity, and a creamy finish complete the luxurious taste experience.
