Tasting note
A “Heritage” assemblage of Cinsault Noir with a touch of Pinotage. A wonderfully fragrant red wine with notes of cherry stones and raspberries. The low percentage of pinotage gives the fragrant Cinsault a certain structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes very well with smocked chicken thighs with grilled vegetables.
Vinification
88% Cinsault and 12% Pinotage from plots with oxidative sandy soils from the Lower Helderberg, which are planted on light pebbles near the sea. 45% whole grape fermentation with eight months of ageing in older oak barrels.
