About the wine
Blooming and fertile landscapes in Sicily give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Rocca del Geco conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With this powerful Shiraz 2015 — Nero d'Avola Syrah IGP, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Shiraz can be served very well with roasted vegetables or barbecue.
Tasting note
Dark ruby red color with notes of cherries, blackberries and a hint of white pepper. Very intense and dense on the palate, soft, perfectly integrated tannins with a juicy, spicy finish.

Flaschenpost team tip: Nero d'Avola Syrah IGP goes well with barbecue, game and roasted vegetables.
Vinification
The two grape varieties are fermented individually at a temperature of 24 to 26 °C for about 8 days in stainless steel tanks. After maturing for 3 months in used French and American barriques, the grape must is blended.
