About the wine
Blooming and fertile landscapes in Sicily give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Curatolo Arini conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. This dominant red wine 2014 — Nero d'Avola IGP is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Nero d'Avola with risotto or oxtail soup.
Tasting note
Dense ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, delicate scent of blackberries, plums and a touch of white pepper. Nice freshness on the palate, very full-bodied with notes of sour cherries and cocoa. Velvety tannins with an elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Nero d'Avola IGP passt bestens zu Ochsenschwanzsuppe, Hartkäse und Pasta.
Vinification
The mash fermentation takes place for 8 days at a temperature between 24 and 26°C in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The subsequent aging takes place for 6 months in used French and American oak barriques.
