About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Conti Zecca masters this red wine in the fertile and blooming countryside of Apulia. The provocative red wine 2013 — Negroamaro Liranu Leverano DOP is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections; beguiling nose with notes of fully ripe, dark fruits, some spice and fine wood nuances. A lot of texture on the palate, with a fruity, slightly warming texture. There are aromas of licorice and black cherries. Overall, a powerful, powerful body, ending in an aromatic, persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with grilled fish and white meats.
Vinification
Liranu is the local name for the municipality of Leverano, in which the grapes for this wine grow. After harvesting, the grapes are crushed and fermented in thermo-controlled stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then aged for twelve months in large wooden barrels with a capacity of 30 hl. Refining in wood is followed by a further aging of 12 months in cement tanks before the Negroamaro is bottled.
