About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this strong red wine 2019 — Les Mazots Gamay. To get a feel for the mountainous and hilly landscape aesthetics of Valais, there is no way around this red wine, which the Swiss winery Maurice Gay masters with a fine sense of texture. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This gamay is very good to serve with hash browns or duck with plum sauce.
2024 - 2026
Tasting note
Bright ruby red. Refreshingly fruity, aromas of small, red wild berries. Its delicately subtle, harmonious structure is rounded off by silky soft tannins and is characterized by a pleasant length.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with cold cuts, dried meat, venison terrine, lasagna, hare with mushroom sauce, pot-au-feu, grilled white meat, feathered game, soft cheese and raspberry charlotte.
