About the wine
With the powerful Nero d'Avola 2015 — Lamuri Sicilia DOC, nuances and accents are redefined. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Tasca d'Almerita masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile landscape of Sicily. Tasting note
Rich purple. Intense, appealing berry bouquet. Black cherry, blackberries, blueberries, with nice wood aromas, some vanilla, tobacco and cocoa. Juicy and meaty on the palate. Strong body with fruity aromas. Persistent aftertaste with velvety enamel and well-integrated barrique aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta, pizza, stews or barbecues.
Vinification
After careful harvesting, the grapes are immediately crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then aged and refined in French barriques (20% of which are new) for around twelve months.
