About the wine
The 275-hectare Simonsig Estate is located north-west of Stellenbosch, the famous first-class wine-growing region of South Africa. The Cabernet Sauvignon has been in cultivation since 1976 and achieved initial successes at this time as well. The vines stand on granite and slate soils.

Tasting note
Dense purple. In the aroma blackberries, cassis with a hint of wood and a pleasant peppery note. Wide, soft start, powerful and round in body. Long fruit finish.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with game and wild fowl, with a deer or wild boar pepper. Also perfect with lamb gigot, barbecues or ripe Parmesan.
Vinification
The expansion took place in a steel tank.
