About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Finca Anzil has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the hallmarks of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and magnificent landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon). You will certainly have a lot of fun with the fine La Poda Tinta de Toro, which was produced in 2016.
Tasting note
Clear, rich garnet red. The nose reveals an incredible abundance of aromas with notes of ripe berries, leather, floral aromas and a hint of vanilla that never lets you go. Distinctive on the palate with fine tannins and very harmonious. Blackberry and raspberry fruit dominate here with an elegant hint of vanilla. Fine leather and cedar aromas round off the taste. Powerful body, medium alcohol and a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Hearty, red meat dishes such as roast beef with a strong sauce, stews and game dishes, home cooking.
Vinification
For 6 months in French American barriques.
