Tasting note
The intense nose is delicate and very concentrated, with aromas of star jasmine and white peach, beautifully framed by elegant wood, which brings in notes of hazelnuts. The palate is rich and tasty, yet fresh and mouth-filling, reminiscent of baked apples and lemon cream. The finale is long and perfectly balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Vinification
La Masía translates to the farmhouse in Catalonia, the home region of the Torres family, as the Marimar Estate winery is designed to resemble a classic Catalan farmhouse. The grapes are harvested in September, then gently pressed and fermented with our own local yeast in high-quality French oak barrels, 40% new. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged on the lees for nine months and bottled in July.
