About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the French winery Union de Producteurs de Cruzy in the sunny Languedoc-Roussillon landscape masters this red wine. Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 — La Croisade Réserve Pays d'Oc IGP! Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to be served with red meat or Gruyère burgers.
Tasting note
Deep ruby red with purple reflections in the glass. Complex and complex on the nose with notes of black cherry, cedarwood and plums, complemented by tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, La Croisade is concentrated, juicy and fruity. The wonderfully soft tannins make for a long and delicious finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with venison, stew, aged cheese, raclette, pasta, vegetarian dishes and lamb.
Vinification
The grape varieties are vinified separately in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The wine then ages in medium toasted French oak for 5 months to give it more complexity and structure.
