About the wine
With this provocative red wine 2017 — Inspirational Pinotage Block 7, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The winemaker from the South African winery Arendsig masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the magnificent and beautiful landscape of the Breede River Valley. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This pinotage can be served very well with salami or strong cheese platters.
Tasting note
The Inspirational Batch from Arendsig is a selection of individual vineyards, where the climate, soil and location are ideal for the grapes. During winemaking, the process was interfered with as little as possible. Only natural yeast and no enzymes were used. The barrels should not disturb the grape's own taste so that the taste of the wine can fully develop. An excellent Grenache from Arendsig, which was supervised by Willem de Villiers. Only 3,000 bottles of this wine were produced.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Inspirational Pinotage Block 7 goes well with strong cheese platters, salami and pasta Bolognese.
