About the wine
Spoil your family and friends at Christmas dinner with this strong white wine 2019 — Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Kirnberg. You can describe the landscape in Lower Austria with words such as mountainous or hilly. However, the Austrian Weingut Georg Frischengruber is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded! Tasting note
The Grüner Veltliner emerald appears in the glass in bright golden yellow with silver reflections. On the nose, fine nuances of mango, some pineapple, blossom honey underlaid with notes of fresh lime zest. On the palate, it is juicy, elegant with aromas of vineyard peach. The fine acidity and the lemony-mineral finish give the wine a wonderfully long finish. This Grüner Veltliner has unbelievably good maturation potential of up to 20 years.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Asian dishes, poultry, mushrooms, sushi, truffles & veal.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in cool temperatures. The fermentation takes place spontaneously in large oak barrels.
