About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Portuguese winery Casa Santos masters this red wine in the sunny and picturesque Alentejo countryside. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2022, it's this powerful Shiraz 2019 — Gran Fortissimo. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Shiraz with barbecue or roasted vegetables.
Tasting note
It is a wine with an intense color, with pleasant aromas of ripe red fruits, well balanced with spicy notes. Balanced, persistent and pleasant aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with grilled meats, game specialities and various types of cheese.
Vinification
The previously destemmed grapes were mashed at a low temperature for 24 hours. The alcoholic fermentation takes place for 14 days in stainless steel containers with a temperature control between 26o - 28oC. Aged for eight months in French and American oak barriques.
