About the wine
Avelino Vegas founded its first winery in 1950. The company has an eventful history with various stages behind it. Today, the Avelino Vegas group produces very successful wines in various regions of Spain. The winegrowing companies that belong to the cooperative operate under their own names and operate very independently. They share the philosophy: The cultivation and expansion of wines that are strongly anchored in the respective region and thus produce excellent plants. All wines are accessible and impress with the aromas and typicality of their origin.
Tasting note
Deep garnet red, purple shimmer. Intense, ripe, complex aroma of red fruits, distinctive barrique notes, leather, coffee, brioche, with hints of hazelnut in the finale. The pleasant, very long start is followed by distinctive tannins and a lush, roast-like finish, leather, long aftertaste. A wine that is still young, carafing promotes finesse.
Culinary recommendation
Great with pizza, pasta or Spanish tapas.
