About the wine
This dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — Fratini Bolgheri Superiore Bolgheri DOC is, in the truest sense of the word, a hit right down to the last drop! The winemaker from the Italian winery Tenuta Hortense has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you serve this Cabernet Sauvignon with pizza with mushrooms or Gruyère burgers.
Tasting note
A wonderfully inviting bouquet, of ripe dark currants and elderberries, paired with notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. The Fratini Bolgheri Superiore has a good structure and elegance on the palate with a pleasant, ripe fruit. A balanced and harmonious wine with pleasant freshness combined with lively and velvety tannins. Long-lasting intense aromas, which are characterized by fruity plum notes and balsamic freshness on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Italian cuisine with beef, lamb, pasta, antipasti and dried meat specialties.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and carefully selected. The Fratini Superiore is aged in French barriques for 18 months.
