About the wine
Chioccioli is a family business that was born out of a dream of the Chioccioli Altadonna brothers. Niccolò and Enrico, the sons of one of the world's most respected and award-winning oenologists and agronomists Stefano Chioccioli, have dedicated their passion to exploring and interpreting the area they've been connected to since childhood.
Tasting note
A wine with an exceptional identity, intense, rich and complex with fruity and spicy notes. Hints of flowers, small red and black berries, complemented by dark, fresh spices
Vinification
Fermentation takes place spontaneously with our own local yeasts in small stainless steel tanks. After maceration on the skins, the wine is removed and transferred directly into barriques made from the best, fine-grained French oak, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. In addition, the wine matures in the bottle for a further 6 months before it is on the market.
