About the wine
This dominant Pinot Noir 2016 — Echézeaux is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The loamy, gravelly soils in Burgundy offer the winemaker from the French winery Domaine d'Eugénie everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Pinot Noir is ideal to serve with red meat or cheese.
Tasting note
The Domaine Eugénie is in the same property as Château Latour and was created from the former Domaine René Engel. The Echezeaux, located in the small Combe d'Orveaux in the south of Musigny, is extremely impressive and masculine. After a little ventilation, the nose reveals a range of berries such as cassis, raspberries and sour cherries, underpinned by mineral and earthy notes. There is just enough wood influence on the palate to notice it, the tannins are present yet velvety. Accessible from a young age, this wine also benefits from a decade of storage.
Culinary recommendation
Unsere Empfehlung: Die perfekte Trinktemperatur für den Rotwein liegt bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C. Zu Käse, Lachs und Ente empfehlen Ihnen die Flaschenpöstler diesen Echézeaux.
