About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Villanoviana conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this distinctive Merlot 2019 — Ebesco Rosso di Toscana IGT Villanoviana! The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you serve this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or poultry.
Tasting note
Ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, scent of wild strawberries, moss, fresh grass and licorice. Good balance between freshness and tannin on the palate.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect companion for all occasions, goes well with soups and minestrones, typical Tuscan cuisine, pizza, medium-aged cheeses, sausages.
Vinification
Maceration and fermentation for approximately 20 days in chrome steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C. For aging, the wine remains in cement containers for 6 months; before being sold, the wine is aged in the bottle for a further six months.
