About the wine
The estate is located on the Salento Peninsula, a part of Puglia, the heel of the Italian boot. Starting in 2015, Contrade is one of the latest of Masseria Li Veli's numerous successful projects. Once again, the Flavo family demonstrates their unmistakable sense for the right place and the right time. A wonderful estate where the grapes of small, local winegrowers are also processed, with a particular passion for the autochthonous Negroamaro and Malvasia. The wines have this special combination of originality and elegance, honest and charming, accessible and with style. Always and everywhere.
Tasting note
Shirtless yet gentle guy. Rumbles almost in with its rich, aromatic, dark berry fruit and the initially slightly grumpy nature, rough, dry sides in the dark fruit, but you immediately notice the peaceful nature, soft and full. On the palate, this goodness: full concentrated berries in warm spices, with a grumpy side: tart spices, including anise, brittle tannins. And that's exactly how you love him, that somewhat clumsy yet so good, gentle soul! Wonderfully uncomplicated, familiar drinking experience. Perfect for simple Italian cuisine!

Vinification
Read and sort by hand. The temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in steel tanks and the aging for 3 months in small oak barrels.
