About the wine
Cottinelli was founded in 1868 in Chur. In addition to wine, many Italian specialities were sold back then. A hundred years later, in 1970, he moved to Malans, where the Cottinelli wine house is still based today. Cottinelli cultivates a total of 22 hectares of vineyards from Maienfeld to Chur. The company's own production comprises five different lines. From modern to traditional, specialties and reserve wines.
Tasting note
The high oil and acid content gives this wine a shelf life of many years - and its typical character. Rich yellow color. On the nose, there is a noticeable fresh, pleasant acidity combined with fruity components. On the palate, the typical quince aroma. Combination of strong fruit with pleasant acidity.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with salsiz, Bündnerfleisch, raw ham, mountain cheese and crustaceans. Drunk after dinner, a special treat.
Vinification
The Completer grapes are carefully picked and destemmed by hand. Fermentation takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks. It is aged for one year in used French barriques.
