Tasting note
Dark, deep purple, rich in the middle. Extensive, ripe berry bouquet, plums, coffee and dark chocolate, quite profound. On the palate, lots of substance, dense extract, even fleshy and with lots of strength and support. The difficult vintage seems to have almost completely missed this wine. (Gabriel)
Culinary recommendation
A wonderful accompaniment to classic meat dishes, roasts, ragout or a rich venison terrine.
Vinification
The must is vinified in thermoregulated wooden barrels for between 18 and 26 days (depending on the vintage). The young wine is then aged in 80 to 100% new barriques for 20 months.
