About the wine
The winemaker from the Austrian winery Anton Kollwentz has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. If you are looking for something special, then you shouldn't miss out on this strong white wine 2015 — Chardonnay Ried Tatschler. Tasting note
Intense and powerful on the nose, yellow peaches, orange peel, vanilla and honey aromas. Very complex and juicy on the palate, present but already harmoniously integrated wood tones, enormous pressure with racy acidity. Dense body with a very long, mineral finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with poultry, saltwater fish, seafood and veal.
Vinification
The unwatered vines come from the Tatschler vineyard with sandy loam soil, a high proportion of slate and low lime content. Fully ripe, healthy berries are selectively picked by hand. Maturation for 18 months on the lees in Burgundian Piéce.
