About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Australian winery Kangarilla Road masters this white wine in the sunny and beautiful landscape of South Australia. With the strong white wine 2017 — Chardonnay McLaren Vale, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Chardonnay with goat cheese or truffles.

Tasting note
The nose is initially characterized by timber construction. Notes of hazelnuts, marzipan, butter, caramel and cinnamon dominate. Apple, ripe pineapple and apricot appear later, along with a hint of flint. Contrary to expectations, this Chardonnay surprises on the palate with its fresh, sparkling, crisp character. The wood insert is perfectly integrated into the long-lasting, distinctive taste.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes perfectly with goat cheese, truffles and fish with herbs. Our recommendation: Drink this white wine at slightly chilled 10°-12°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 2-3 years after harvest.
Vinification
Information about vinification: Gentle pressing of the grapes. A large part of the must (70%) is fermented in stainless steel tanks, in which it also matures afterwards until bottling. The rest of the must (30%) ferments in new French barriques. The maturation on the fine yeast takes place in oak barrels for 100 days, during which the yeast is stirred once a day.
