About the wine

In 2002, a famous trio around the Grand Dame of Italian viticulture - Elisabetta Foradori - took over this enchanted company in Roccatederighi in Maremma, high on a rock Ampeleia: Preserve, nature, create something new, wines of an incomparably complex, sensitive, elegance, where the spirit is more than Body counts. Today, 40 ha of various terroirs are cultivated biodynamically on 200m to 650m, including Marco Tait in the cellar from the very beginning - noble restraint, spontaneous fermentation, only minimal sulphurization, no filtration, cement instead of oak. The wines speak vividly and reflect on their origins and develop - even when opened - into fascinatingly mature, noble personalities. Outstanding!

Tasting note
Novelist - subtle punch line and effect. Cultivated style, not plush, everything is very finely worked out, nuances, fine, very fresh red fruit, sour cherry, lots of dark thoughts, graphites, ethereal, vegetal, all of this is reproduced finely and with measure. On the palate again witty and noble, precisely set every note, clear sour cherry fruit, punchline and effect worked out with sovereign serenity, pure, dark, ethereal, tart accents, modest elegance, as it were. Like art, the idea without the burden of existence, yet bearing it. Slender and deep. Great!
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Carignano IGT Costa Toscana Rosso Bio goes perfectly with red meat, strong lamb stew and game dishes.
Vinification
Very selective harvesting, fermentation (20% not destemmed) with vineyard yeasts and ageing for 8 months in concrete tanks, unfiltered.
