About the wine
You will certainly enjoy the first-class Brunello Montalcino Riserva gli Angeli, which was produced in 2008. Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery La Gerla conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience.
Tasting note
This exceptional wine is only pressed in the best years from La Gerla's oldest vineyard. The vines are located just below the winery and next to an old chapel dedicated to the angels — gli angeli. With its wide, complex aroma fan, its ultra-fine tannins, its elegance and extraordinary length, this Brunello actually seems to have been kissed by the angels.

Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Allein eine allerstrengste Selektion des Traubengutes, eine konsequent durchgezogene Handlese und eine äusserst sanfte Pressung sind die unabdingbaren Voraussetzungen für die Produktion dieses Ausnahmeweines. Selbstverständlich folgt die Fermentation temperaturkontrolliert. Seinen extensiven Ausbau von über fünf Jahren erfährt der Jungwein während deren vier in grossen Fässern slowenischer Eiche und anschliessend für drei Monate in französischen Barriquen, bei halbjährlichem Umzug, bevor er, ausgereift und abgefüllt, beinahe ein weiteres Jahr in der Flasche ruht.
