About the wine
This Pinot Noir gets its power and energy from the calcareous, loamy soils in Burgundy. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine A.F. Gros turns it into a real treat with a lot of emotion. A must for connoisseurs, this strong Pinot Noir 2016 — Bourgogne Rouge! Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Pinot Noir is ideal to serve with red meat or cheese.
Tasting note
Depending on the age of this Burgundy Pinot Noir, the color varies from purple in youth to dark ruby red with increasing development. On the palate, aromas of small red and black fruits (strawberry, cherry, currant and blueberry) unfold, which develop into animal notes followed by cooked plums, pepper and undergrowth. The wine impresses with its liveliness and its structure with finely integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with cheese, barbecues.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. The winemaking takes place in enameled concrete tanks and in large wooden barrels. The aging is carried out in oak barrels for 12 months.
