About the wine

You actually emigrate to America, the New World - but Joy Kull was already there. And vice versa for Americans, the Old World is promising: Europe! Joy had caught the wine virus in her father's wine shop in Connecticut, so she urgently had to go to Italy, where the Romans were, i.e. Rome, in 2013, with a backpack, just see how it works exactly with the wine, internship at Le Coste between Rome and Florence. And it had already happened to them, stayed, married, a dairyman and shepherd, and with the help of a friend acquired 4 ha old plots of land and thus saved them from decay, autochthonous grape varieties, biodynamically farmed, no crap in the vineyard, no chichi in the cellar, and when you drink the wines that are so full of light and air and lightness, curiosity and openness, then you ask yourself why you don't always Omit everything, that only seems to weigh down the wine! Wines that radiate bright but never banal joy - like the winemaker herself. Natural talents, both of them!

Tasting note
Bazooka Joe - this chewing gum, the 1980s, that was the dream in childhood. And it is this wine today, reminds us, only much finer, not chemistry but nature, that immediately comes in, that enchants, this scent, this mixed fruit, no matter which, rose, orange, bright, blossoms, that immediately gets into the nose, that invigorates, that is fresh and mineral in a delightful way, this scent is simply mild luck! Pure joy on the palate, happy excitement, that tingling, tart and yet so thoroughly bright, friendly freshness, you want to jump for joy, fruit, minerality, tannins, so playful, such an exhilarating rhythm, and that is real, that is not banal, not cheap, that is a great feeling! Shit, where to put this joy? And where to go with the other wines now? A must!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Bianco Uovo passt bestens zu Gemüsereis, Geflügel und asiatischer Nudelpfanne.
Vinification
Read by hand. Grapes are crushed with the feet and pressed directly, 1 week of maceration, fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts, 12 months of aging in concrete eggs. Unfiltered, unembellished, unsulfurized.
