About the wine

Gabriele Scaglione describes itself as a spirito indipendente as a free spirit who follows his passion and love for excellent wines. Thanks to strict selection and extensive care in the vineyards, he presses typical terroir wines in Piedmont in small but fine production.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red, subtle aromas of ripe berries and leather characterize the expressive nose. Dried black cherry, ground pepper and coffee unfold on the palate. Fine-grained tannins with a smooth finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Barolo DOCG passt ideal zu Prosciutto, Burrata und Rindfleisch.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and pressed mechanically. Maceration for ten to 15 days, adding pomace twice a day. The Barolo then matures for 24 months in Slavonian barrels and a further twelve months in the bottle.
