About the wine
The philosophy of Giovanni Corino is based on the following basic principles: great attention to work in the vineyard in order to preserve the characteristics of the terroir while respecting nature. For this reason, products based on copper and sulfur are mainly used, without the use of pesticides. The sulfite content in the bottles is at least 50% less than what Italian law allows. During vinification, Corino tries to find the right balance between modernity and tradition.

Tasting note
Ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruits unfold, which meet balsamic notes of mint, vanilla and dark spices. This is accompanied by notes of undergrowth and roasted coffee powder. The palate is round and harmonious, with a fine tannin structure and a long, spicy and balsamic finish
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with marinated beef or game roast or a hare pepper
Vinification
After the harvest, which yielded 55-60 quintals per hectare, the grapes were brought to the cellar for winemaking. During this process, the must was macerated in contact with the skins in rotary fermentation tanks at a temperature of 25-30°C for 5-7 days. The aging took place in small French oak barrels, 35% new and 65% used. The Barolo Arborina 2018 from Giovanni Corino then rested in stainless steel for 6 months and in the bottle for a further 12 months
