About the wine
Our story begins in 1956 with grandparents Guido and Giuseppina. The two great-grandsons Alessandro and Alberto “Berto” now own 28 hectares, and they continue to run the winery with love and passion. I owe my name to Grandfather Guido's second passion. As the shipowner “L'Armatore” of a ship, it was clear that I was the first to be baptized wine on this ship.

Tasting note
In terms of style, I am proof that the micro-climates in Piedmont can produce top wines, especially with Barbera. With aromas of cherries, plums and herbs, I inspire your senses. I'm fresh, lively, and with a nice structure that merges into a long, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Pair it with red meat, game or strong and aged cheese.
Vinification
I grow on sandy marl and limestone soil, which reflects my length and minerality on the palate. The 6-7 days of maceration at 28°C and the subsequent ageing of 9 months in stainless steel tanks give me depth and strength.
